The Bulldog features a main wing with a span of 33 feet, 2 inches, a traditional tail unit, and a fixed tricycle undercarriage. It is powered by a Lycoming IO-360-A1B6 air-cooled, 4-cylinder piston engine that delivers up to 200 horsepower and turns a Hartzell 2-blade, constant-speed propeller. The Bulldog has a stall speed of 62 miles per hour, a cruise speed of 130 mph, and a maximum speed of 150. It climbs at 1,000 feet per minute, has a service ceiling of 16,000 feet above sea level, and a range of 620 miles.
A magnificent trainer due to its forgiving nature, the Scottish Aviation Bulldog is also a superb general aviation and touring craft. It has great visibility from it large cockpit, excellent range, and enough power to fly through a range of conditions and altitudes.
