Description
The Letov Š-328 is a two-seat, single-engine biplane manufactured by Letov Kbely of Czechoslovakia from 1934 to 1944. The aircraft, which took its maiden flight in 1929, was used for military surveillance and reconnaissance, air superiority, and for light attack and bombing.

The Š-328 measures 34 feet in length, has a wingspan of 45 feet, and features a standard tail unit. Most models have a traditional undercarriage, but some were equipped with floats. The aircraft is powered by a Walter Pegasus II-M.2 9-cylinder radial piston engine that puts out an impressive 580 horsepower and drives a fixed-pitch 2-blade propeller. The Š-328 has a range of 430 miles, a service ceiling of 23,600 feet above sea level, and climbs at nearly 1,000 feet per minute. It cruises at 160 miles per hour and has a top speed of 170 mph.

The open-cockpit Letov Š-328 is one of aviation history’s great stick-and-rudder flyers. Pilots of all skill levels will cherish every moment in this biplane, one that is both easy going and able to be pushed hard in the sky, high and low.

The “Letov S-328” was a Czechoslovak single-engine two-seat biplane developed as a reconnaissance aircraft, which had its maiden flight in 1933.
