Saga Airport (δ½θ³η©ΊζΈ―, Saga-kΕ«kΕ) (IATA HSG, ICAO RJFS) It is also uses the unofficial name Kyushu Saga International Airport (δΉε·δ½θ³ε½ιη©ΊζΈ―, KyΕ«shΕ« Saga Kokusai KΕ«kΕ). Located on the edge of the Ariake Sea, The airport accommodated more than 630,000 passengers outbound domestic passengers in 2015. The airport adopted the name “Kyushu Saga International Airport” in January 2016 in order to improve its appeal to foreign airlines, particularly Asian low-cost carriers, as a gateway to other destinations in Kyushu. In total the airport offers routes to and from Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita Airports, as well as international routes to Shanghai and Xi’an in China, Taipei in Taiwan, and Seoul (Incheon) ,Busan and Daegu in South Korea.
