Kazan Airport named after Gabdulla Tukai (Tat. Gabdulla Tukai isemendәge Kazan Airports; IATA: KZN, ICAO: UWKD) is an international airport of federal significance in the city of Kazan, the largest in terms of passenger traffic among cities located along the Volga River. It is located 26 km southeast of the city near the village of Stolbishche in the Laishevsky district of Tatarstan.
The airport is the base airport for the Kazan Airlines airline, as well as one of the base airports for the UVT Aero airline. Previously, it was also the base for the former Tatarstan airline throughout its existence, as well as one of the bases for the Ak Bars Aero airline.
At the end of 2021, the airport’s passenger traffic amounted to 3,876,000 people, making it the 12th busiest airport in Russia.
